Life, the Universe, and Everything.
(Mostly Harmless.)
I got into a discussion with the Padre not too long ago. He was visiting, saw a car pass us on the road, and made a comment that it was a nice car, probably worth about $100,000. I totally don't get the idea of a car as a status symbol. I have nothing against buying nice cars, but a lot of it seems excessive. It doesn't impress me, either. Jeeps are wicked cool, though. I like pickup trucks, too, but there has to be a reason for it. If you have a pickup it either has to be a little beat up, something that was passed down to you, or you have to actually use it to haul stuff. I think it's a little silly to get a shiny new pickup truck and not use it.
Not much planned for today. Got to catch up on all the shows I missed this past week (I heart my cable company's "on demand" feature!)...so yeah, just gonna clean a little and then veg. And if it's not raining, Tumminy will finally get his nice long walkies.
