Life, the Universe, and Everything.
(Mostly Harmless.)
Yesterday was actually pretty slow, which surprised me...but it was nice to leave work on time.
It is SO hard to get up when it's dark and cold. I've whipped out my fleece pajama pants, and I have these socks that are made to wear in Antarctica or something...they keep my feet SO WARM. If I had to pick between being constantly a little too hot or a little too cold, I'd rather be cold, but it's fantastic to have my tootsies so toasty.
I think it's bad that I can't remember the last time I spent a full night in my bed. I keep conking out on the couch around 9 or 10 and waking up anytime between 1 and 4. Sometimes I go to bed and sometimes I just stay on my couch 'til it's time to get up. I've tried setting my cell phone alarm for 10 or so, but either I sleep through it or make the sleep-fogged decision to get up and go to bed in "just a minute". I'm sure there's some underlying circadian rhythm thing I'm screwing up and eventually I'll snap like a kite string...but I'm doing okay for now.
Jeanie, I'm with you on the whole monkey/giraffe issue. I like giraffes. Monkeys, not so much. Gorillas are kind of cool and I like the little primates that look like squirrels, but chimps, other apes, and a lot of the bigger monkeys are gross. The more they look like a person, the creepier they are.
