The monkeys stand for honesty, giraffes are insincere

Had a great weekend off!  One of my friends from high school was in town with her hubby and one-and-a-half year old daughter.  This is the little gal who is my God-daughter, so I got to go to the zoo with them and both sets of grandparents.  It was a lot of fun - been almost a year since I saw her, and she's a walking, talking machine with hair now.   So cute.

The Colts capped off the weekend with a win over the Titans, so yay! for that.  I do find all of the pink a little distracting, though.

Gonna buckle down now, 'cuz I don't get another Saturday off for a month.   It'll go by fast and probably won't be all that bad, but it's just a teensy bit sad to think about.

Not much else planned for the week.  Today will probably be busy because it's Columbus Day and a bunch of people don't have to work.  I want to know how I can get on that train.

You get on that train by going to work for the guv'mint or a bank. I usually have to work as well; I just took a day of vacation today.

And I love Simon and Garfunkel's "At the Zoo." I'm not sure why he thought giraffes are insincere, however. If anything, I think I'd find monkeys much more insincere. They're a little sneaky.
