Happy birthday to me!   I guess I now officially qualify as "late twenties" since I'm 27 today.  Twenty-seven sounds a lot older than 26, but I don't feel older at all.  Tell the truth, I still feel like a kid.

Bro and I went to the Field Museum today.  They have an exhibit there on pirates, so of course I had to go see that while it was there.  It's about the Whydah, a pirate ship that sank in a storm near Cape Cod in 1717.  It was a pretty wicked exhibit.  The youngest pirate on board was John King, who might have been 8 or 9 years old.  He was on a ship that was raided by the Whydah and he insisted on joining the pirate crew.  The wreck excavators found one of his shoes and one of the bones from his leg.  Really, really interesting.

Tonight Bro is taking me out to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, so that should be fun.  Plus, you know...cheesecake!

And for what it's worth, I didn't feel like a real grownup until I turned 30. The 20s still just seems too young, but I felt better once I turned 30.
