Yes, you read correctly!  Afton has a roomie.  He's really cute and quite a cuddler.  He's also really short, hairy, won't pay his share of the rent, and still hasn't figured out where he needs to poop.

I got a puppy!!!   

I was going to post a picture but I'm having some technical snafus, so that will have to wait.  He's a 9 week old Pembroke Welsh Corgi.  I got him from another vet that an acquaintance of mine knows.  Am super excited...not quite overwhelmed, but definitely whelmed.  I brought him home yesterday.  I'm also realizing why most people get puppies during the summer, because I'm discovering how tricky housebreaking is going to be when the weather is a balmy 10 degrees.  Poor kid gets cold so fast!  He WANTS to be housebroken, I can tell, but we haven't quite had a meeting of the minds.  But it's only day 2.
