Life, the Universe, and Everything.
(Mostly Harmless.)
Had a good weekend...busy, though, so I'm not sure where the time went. I drove back to my hometown yesterday for a baby shower for a girlfriend of mine from high school. It feels so weird. This is High School Friend Baby #2, and I still can't get my mind around it. I'm used to friends getting married by now, but babies?!
Are we old enough to do that? The shower was a lot of fun, though...a lot of laughing and catching up. We're scattered all over, but most people were still in town after Christmas, so there were a good number of us there. The dad-to-be is also one of our HS buddies, so he didn't mind being the only guy there. Good times.
I did get to see my little goddaughter briefly, which was a pleasant surprise. She's nine months old now, and she's just getting huge! She's got the biggest blue eyes I've ever seen. My parents puppy-sat for Tumnus for the afternoon so I wouldn't have to leave him alone in his crate all day. My dad's so cute. I walked in with the dog, got a hug from my mom, told her that the pooch hadn't done his business outside yet, and then my dad comes up and says, "I'll take him for a walk!". He takes the leash and scoots off with the dog. Without giving me a hug, which is very unlike him. He's completely smitten.
And now...work today, and swing dance tonight!
