I was stretching out after my run this morning and turned the TV on for background noise.  An episode of Bonanza was on, and since I hadn't watched that show in a dog's age, I tuned in to the last twenty minutes or so.  It was "The Running Man", one that I remembered liking but didn't remember why.  So I was watching when I thought that one of the guest actors looked familiar but couldn't place him.  Then I realized it was Hitch from Rat Patrol!  I double-checked to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, and sure enough, the actor Lawrence Casey made an appearance in the wild west.

Man, am SO glad today's Sunday.  Yesterday SUCKED.  Not just for me, either.  All the doctors were booked solid and we had at least six-walk ins that included two actual life-threatening emergencies (both died) and a dog that had eaten a blanket and needed surgery to remove it (fortunately I wasn't the doc that got stuck with that one).  But the good part of it was that the combination of staff that was there was probably the best combo we could have for a really stressful day, so even though we were all a little slap happy and shell-shocked by the time we closed, it wasn't all that bad.  But I could live without another Saturday like that.

It's raining out now...I really hope it lets up long enough for me to take Mr. Ants-in-the-Pants for a walk.  I dunno...it's pretty warm out there and he doesn't seem to mind a little light rain.  Maybe we'll go anyway.

Thanks for the literary input, AD and Jeanie!  Yeah, it's too bad about the gore-fests, because now I'm intrigued, especially since I know some of the "Dragon" characters show up in other books.  But there are certain things I just can't handle when I'm reading. (But I can handle the truth!!)
