Stuff sticks in my brain like oatmeal, but not the important stuff.

  • Mood: Oodelally, oodelally, golly what a day.
  • Music: All American Rejects, "Gives you Hell". I think my brain just started bleeding.
  • What I'm reading now: Stephen King, "The Eyes of the Dragon"
  • Quote: PJ: "Right now they're probably debating who would win a fight, a badger or a raccoon." Bobby: "Which is ridiculous because it's obviously the badger and why are there so many animals in this conversation?" - My Boys

Wow, Friday already.  This week went by really quickly.  And it's Good Friday too, which always sneaks up on me.  Not that anything is really different because I have to work...  Got a lot done yesterday, though.  Did my run, paid bills, mailed in my taxes (I owed the state three dollars...felt kind of silly sending that check), met Ali for Indian food, and went to a Passover seder at the synagogue I've been going to.  It was fun!  My family has had seders throughout the years, but this was the biggest one I'd been to.  I had a really good time.

I did something during my run yesterday and I'm not sure if I'm proud of it or if it's rather sad.  I was on mile three, determined to do all ten but dreading the rest of that long run by myself, when all of a sudden I started thinking about Disney's Robin Hood movie.  And then I discovered that, with a very few things skipped over, I could pretty much remember the entire movie and I went through it in my head.  I watched that movie countless times as a kid and apparently it's burned in my memory.  So I'm not sure quite what I think of it, but it definitely made the distance a lot more easy to cover.  Next week I'm thinking of trying that with Beauty and the Beast.

My coworker and I got into a deep discussion about books on Wednesday and it ended with me borrowing my very first Stephen King book from him.  I've avoided King because I thought he just wrote horror.  But this book is more medieval-science-fictiony, and I'm really enjoying it!  About halfway through right now.
